hi mate and welcome to the forum, how much are you looking to spend, the silver mk2 grifters range from 20 pounds for a really rough incomplete bike to around 200 plus for a nice original example, they are slightly harder to come by than a horizon blue or red stars and stripes but you have come to the right place  

Many thanks for the reply, just looking for one that has the majority of its parts and does not require too much work to get to a good standard. I miss my mk2 i had as a 10 year old one christmas. Had many hours of fun on it, and sadly my mum gave it away a few years later.

Welcome to the forum richard, i do hope you find a silver mk2 soon, they come up now and again on ebay so keep looking on there every day! The grifter (and the rest of the chaps will vouch for me :lol has a certain draw, a magic that never goes away! i too had a silver mk2 bought for me at christmas 1980, and had so many happy memories on it and beleive me the magic and memories all come flooding back when you get your hands back on one of these classic icons! it did for me! i bought my present 1980 silver mk2 for £5 off ebay! it was my very first purchase on ebay back in oct 2006 and was the first thing i typed into the search bar!   she was in a bit of a state (see pics) but i got breathed so life back into the old gal and is now my pride and joy! the red mk1 followed 9 months on! as one is never enough!! (the lads will vouch for me again!) so, all i can say is good luck with your search, hope you get one soon and then its.... happy days!
