original supergrips are very hard to find and very expensive (i wish raleigh made them again) you can get tyres called supergrips but theer not the same.

You might get lucky on Ebay as most of us tend to keep flairs for future project as there so hard to find in good condition. So what are your plans for your new grifter? Are you keeping the bike as is?

paint colour is out a bit but a nice bike. if your going to ride it round then your tyres will be ok but if you want it just for show then a new set would look great (but very expensive)

I am not sure of the price of the new supergrips. Possible around the £8-10 each mark, however some people have told me that they have got a pair for eight quid on ebay. As for your bike its a nice bike and i hope you enjoy it and welcome to the forum. We are all here to enjoy the bikes and the banter. Be aware that grifters are addictive and one leads to two ,three, four......till one day you have 32  bikes...

your sick john and you need help!!!    The new supergrips are ok if your going to ride it around and keep the original ones for best but there just not the same for me mate.

Anyway welcome to the forum, i know your going to love owning a classic grifter as much as we do.

wayne has a lovely restored Mk1 in metallic red forsale. i think its a july 76... second month of main production

he might let you have it for £2.50 and half a bag of carrots!...but they have to be organic!!!
