Thats why we bought our house as well, my Girlfriend wanted us to look around but i wanted the view. We look down into a valley(even though there are houses there most of em are hidden) and we can see straight out to the sea at Rottingdean, Ovingdean(left of Brighton. Unfortunately the selfish old dear in front of us wont cut her trees down. Her house is only just higher than our back garden but her trees are so high they take half of our view from us smile/mad.gif  Heres a a pic i took last year from the back garden, but it was taken at night as you can see.

That is a lovely view, Don't know if you also get this but looks like you probably do. Something i forgot about when i bought my home is that it can get rather windy, especially when you are overlooking the channel. I once spent a whole day dismantling a greenhouse a neighbour offered us(cheap way for them to get rid of it ) then i put the frame together, put half of the glass in there, then the night came. went to look at it in the morning and every pane of glass had smashed to pieces. smile/mad.gif Anyway i've spent the last four years picking my garden back up.
