I'm sure I read on this forum a post from some dude who was considering producing some Grifter plastic repro. parts i.e handlebar foam seat, mudguards etc.

I can't find the post now. Anybody know if this has come to fruition or of other places that do repro parts?

Cheers

I was interested in getting some bits repro'd but the idea kinda fizzled out a bit.

Don't forget to come along to the Brooklands Meet, 5th May 2008.

gonae have a go @ repro chain guards, work @ a steel fabrication company with a machine shop, gonae get a jig machines to press 1.6mm thick mild steel into the chain guard shape, if there is interest i would get the blanks laser cut & then press them up, using a super grifter chain guard as the template!!!!!!!!!!!!.

P.s are they the same as MK1 burners?

Burners are slightly different because they have a tag that attaches to the crank arm

yea

should be able to manufacture both types, the original style should'nt be a problem, they just would'nt have the raised part where the rivets go!!

cheers

Gripshift, that was me it never got off the ground, never got the nos chainguard from jaydog, started new job, etc etc it all kinda fizzled out. BUT! Will be experimenting soon with reproducing the handle bar and seat foam, just managed to get a decent MK1 seat of ebay so that maybe where we start. Will keep you posted, in the meantime if anyone else has any decent brake lever grips or chainguard let me know.
