Please don't try this at home Kids, Steve is fully trained in drains and Grifters, he has the bruised knuckles to prove it to

Make sure you ask an Adult to help you. It was fullproof until you tried it.

If this still fails find your nearest man-hole cover, lift it up, put the whole bike under there

I guess this topic relates to handlebar removal? I'm really struggling to get mine off......front wheel is out and all is sprayed liberally with WD-40....still wont budge.....may resort to sawing the bars off, they aint great condition anyway....but how easy are they to get? This bike is fighting me all the way.....

I think this refers to straightening bent forks.
There is a thread on here somewhere relating to bar removal somewhere tho!

Crofty if you cut your bars off you'll end up losing your forks as well, trying to get a stumpy bit of handlebar stem out of our fork steerer will be a nightmare, at least with your bars in there is some leverage. If you put your fork legs into something and turn the bars too hard you'll end up twisting your fork legs, best to keep an old wheel on when your giving it some stick.  smile/behead.gif

I figured get that stumpy bit in the vice n give her some heat!! The bars are so low there is no sign of the ball bearing or its groove that stops the bars coming out too far? Have they been banged in too far, binding up on the ball bearing in the forks?

crofty, probably more likely that the ball bearing's been removed at some time, they get lost for fun they do !
