How to..."remove and fit handlebar grips"

Push a screwdriver down inside the grip as far down as you can get it without tearing grip then pour in a small amount of washing up liquid. You should be able to work the screwdriver round the grip a little. With screwdriver out work the grip back and forth with your hand until it comes free. If the bars are off the bike, dip the end of the bar with the grip on into boiling water for a minute or so.

Fitting a grip - put fairy liquid on the section where the grip will go (not too much) and push it on.

hairspray works well for putting new grips on.  Spray loads inside the grips and slide on.  then the alcohol evaporates and sticks the grips to the bars...
