whats the easiest and safest way to remove the thimbles from the forks? And how do i bend back the front forks? do i need to heat them up? Cheers.

Personally I use the blunt side of a hacksaw blade files down to make a bit thinner and slowly tap it in and around the thimble. Take your time and it will eventually break free!
I cant help with bent forks I'm afraid.
