has anyone listed , or does anyone know , good colour matches for ALL grifter models ? mk1 and mk2 ?

hopefully some of you out there have found good matches !!!

The best mk1 blue colour is ford azura blue. The early red mk1s had a gold undercoat followed by a candy red (honda oriental red) but its tricky getting this one right. The later red mk1s seemed to have less candy giving it a more bronze look (although not as bronze as the chopper)

Heres a picture of 2 restored and 2 original mk1s. Ads you can see the colour is spot on.

The mk2 stars i had powder coated and the match was near perfect so if you take it to the powdercoaters they would be able to match it easy.

The blue is straight forward as its an etch primer, followed by a normal primer them the ford azura blue and laquer. I got one litre of paint and did 6 frames! So if you are doing one or 2 frames the half a litre will do. (that should cost no more than £20) i think 1 litre was £29. Any good paint shop will stock the paint.
