This is correct for most grifters. The early MK1's had them the other way round with the union jack decal on the down tube and the design applied for near the head stock. It change round about the same time as the second bridge for the rear mudguard disappeared. ![]() |

got one of the stickers off the man on ebay! interestingly, just checked on my xl (hubdate 82 7) and the sticker is slightly different - its doesn't say "raleigh" same on the one i removed from my other xl (hubdate 83 5). they both had the unionjack on the downtube |

sure i've seen different models with them in either place, guess it wouldn't be too hard for a raleigh worker to get them the wrong way every now and again ? | |||
