Looks like a Grifter copy with Supergrip tires on. I don't think its a New Zealand version.

No its not a nz version they were the same as the uk grifter but some had chopper seats on! Is there any numbers on it kev?

Has that whole New Zealand Grifter Chopper seat thing been proved? Ive only ever seen the one photo of a blue MK1 and I dont believe it came with it at all? where did the pic of this new bike come from?

I found the picture on a new zealand website and they said they were made in hastings (nz) by morrison industries with the chopper banana seat on! Not sure if thats totally true as it looks so naff with the long chopper seat but you never know!

The seat thats on it may be called a banana seat? I cant see it fitted with a MK2 Chopper seat and warning strap

I dont think i'd want a NZ Grifter in my collection it would look too crap and i'd spend most of my time trying to prove that seat was original  

i would have the bike and just change the seat!! (i wont tell if you wont!!)  

im still slightly mortified about it, may take me a couple of weeks to come to terms with this one  

What I thought was funny about the brochure is that the colours are described as 'blue and pink'. Anyone for a pink Grifter? Or will this start another debate about what the true colour of the 'Red' grifter really is? He! he!

the picture at the top is pic my m8 sent me as he knows am a grif nut,he said it was on a spanish website !!!!!! grifs must travel  huh,  

I'm wondering if its a cut and shut as the front half looks identical to a grif (apart from the pump holder). It looks like it was red. It'd be nice to see a clearer shot.

it could be a cut and shut or a shady spanish copy, its got a bit of everything on it me thinks, id cut my arm off for those tyres though,
