Thought I would share this with you all, a picture of a street party to celebrate Charles and Di's wedding but what's that lurking in the background?  We just don't do street parties anymore do we.

Wow! well spotted, not only do we not to street parties anymore but we dont do MK1 Golf's either!, if you look carefully to the right of it there looks like a Grifter!  ;)

cool pic mate.....spotted the mk2 with the racer straight away!! ahhhh memories! yes, those street parties were wicked. I rememeber the queens jubilee party in our streets!! 1977, still got my purple mug with gold writing on! happy days...

what do you mean we dont do mk1 golfs anymore?     i drive a mk1 jetta everyday     (same thing but has a boot and square headlights)

mk1 gols are available new in mexico or south africa  think there about 10 grand and are 5 doors only  and have the dash board as found in the newer shape polos,,so there...cool pic..i mind the wedding too but i rember being annoyed as the tv was crap and the only kids show was some cartoon film about hippos,,,,lol god knows how i rember that as i was only 6 and a half
