Won this MK2 Stars and Stripes for the ultra low price of £37 and collected it today, the seat is a replacement but is actually really comfortable! i have changed the rear mudguard fixing, put an R nut on the seat post nut and taken the electrical tape holding the gear cable off and put a proper clip on. Ive been after a 'rough' MK2 stars & stripes for a while to use as an all weather rat rider, the trouble is the chrome on the wheels will polish up well as will the paint - so I feel weird standing there looking at it without having wire wool, T cut, polish and autosol in my hand!

Think i'm going to cry

Reminds me of Christmas morning all them years ago. Stars and stripes sat in our front room, not a bit of soot on it from when Santa brought it down the chimney.
