Help!Something for the weekend sir?
The wife went ballistic when she saw this!
I think its a Raleigh Burner?(open to suggestions tho!)
Seven spoke wheels are "made in France" and are actually black underneath the crude spray paint job.Not sure what to do with it yet-either a resto?or complete custom job-flash paint etc.
Could use the wheels on my 81 Grifter?
my wife has suggetsed exactly what i can do with it alreqdy....! smile/silly.gif

the wheels are simplex, came on a mag burner, the frame is Mk2 burner or a styler, wheels are apparently very flexible. if the pedals are maxi cross there v.expensive and rare.

too bad the spray job goes over everythin, the sr stems are worth about £20, sme for the bars. if the wheel were excellent quality there worth about £35 of £40

i used a hell of a lot of boiling water for starters!then buckets of washing up liquid mixed with some bathroom cleaner.....then i went a bit loopy on the fumes and moved outside!

note that i am using a re-cycling bin.......
little bit of fine grade wire wool seemed to shift the really ingrained bits, then the turtle wax black chrome polish-contains a bit of the stuff found in t-cut,but works great! bitch on your skin tho!then polish to your hands drop off! no buffing drill here .........must be nuts!

Oh I had a pair of white Raleigh Mags.  They were gloss painted yellow.
Did some scrapping of paint.
But sold the Burner they were on, as well as a couple of other BMXs and a skyway wheel, to a bloke from Glasgow.

Hey they go on about dirty Mags on the Burner forum.  Oh sorry..meant cleaning Mag wheels
