Just thought I'd post this (again!).
Not a Chopper, but still pretty cool and very rare.

Don't forget to come along to the Brooklands Meet, 5th May 2008.

Hey those dragsters are good

Could you post a pic of the left side Suicide shifter.

I was out on my Local Nomad, ages ago mind.  A Chopper I built.  Heres an old pic of it.

I was at the next village and saw a suspension frame beside a wheelie bin.  It was a suspension BMX from the 70s I think.  I asked at the house.  The old woman was throwing it away.  So I lashed it to the bars and biked home.
The forks were knackered and there were no place for brakes.  I think it had hub braked mags originally.  Didnt build it up.  A kid wanted it so I gave it to him.

Oh yeah Local Nomad had a 16" raleigh rear mag, 20" Araya gold alloy front.  Motorbike chopper bars with motor bike levers.  There in a SR Burner stem.  Theres Shimano MTB cranks and mechs.  With the shifters on the top tube.  Had to reach around my legs to shift.  There was a bracket for a hub along the top tube.  So the front chain ran on 3 rings on the cranks and freewheel.  9 speed.  Then a chain from the big cog to the back wheel.  I did change it.  I painted red and blue fade..well ran out of one colour so did another for the back.  With white mag wheels and alloy callipers.  Shifters on the bars were easier.  The frame was built of a Strika type rear, with a Winner racer front, upside down.  Some tubes to join them together.  Standard BMX forks.  Steering was floppy.  Needed the big bars.
