My Ebay bought Tri-ang Unity Dragster arrived today, worse condition than I thought but not beyond repair. These are pretty rare and dont turn up very often, so, let the resto commense!
frame and forks are in the boot of my car ready to go to paint shop tomorrow, expect update with photos in around 3 weeks

wow! the gear knob is even more impressive than your cinzia! excellent! awaiting further progress with excitement!    is the front wheel a normal 20" job?  looks slightly smaller than the rear in the picture, but could just be my eyes  

Larger tyre on rear mate but still 20" rim, you're more than welcome to test ride when finished

whey-hey! better make that before a load of pints though...  reckon thats going to look pretty smart when finished - are your restoring, or maybe customing it a little?  

No custom mate just clean and as original as possible

excellent - you're working quick on this one!  are you using the same guy as previous for painting?

Yep, he only charges £20 for blasting and powder coating, but he does take a while and needs a few reminders  

i remember you saying he could sometimes take a while!  are you respraying in the original colour? looks a bit metallic in the pic...

Ive only seen a few pics of these and only seen yellow and pumpkin/hot orange like MK1 Chopper. When I took the headbadge of it was quite a nice dark metallic red. Going for yellow as this looks better I reckon?

does look good in yellow - have you got a plan for the decals?

Got a decent digital photo of the Dragster decal, will print off and cut out in black vinyl, the TT decals on the chainguard will be easy, not looking forward to the others  

i reckon you should keep it in the flamboyant green colour unless there was yellow underneath the green paint

the greens not the original colour, it was dark metallic red

will be interested to hear how you get on with your decals 1977, was checking out a fairly comprehensive looking "how to" only the other day:

might have a go at doing some for the "streetgrifter" at some point, but looks like it would need a steady hand...

my 2 dragsters

two? thats just greedy , my frame still had'nt been painted in the last week of december, i was promised first week in january, that'll be first week in February then, oh well it is cheap  

Well, 6 months later and she has fresh paint






Cut new TT (Triang Toys) decals, they were easy, not looking forward to the Dragster decals though
