OK - some time ago i aquired a RSW to steal the back wheel to give gears to my daughters Boxer.  Worked fine but couldn't face the trip to the tip so instead embarked on a mission to Pimp the RSW.  The story so far...

One very sorry looking RSW - £8 from a car boot sale
http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii307/sn1gle/IMAGE_183.jpg
Took it apart.  Decided to go for a red and white theme.  Spray cans used and decent enough result acheived (for me anyway).

Oh - i got hold of a couple of 16" redline tyres and have theived the odd bit of a BSA.
The crank cleaned up very nice (was a rusty as a very rusty thing) but the pedals were pretty shot.  Found some really nice white rubber types off the bay from the US but when they got here realised they were only 1/2 inch so had to take out the spindle and replace with standard size set (again found at a car boot).  Was easier than i expected.

Got some nice new white twist grips.
http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii307/sn1gle/IMAGE_406.jpg
Now a labour of love (and sweat and tears and blood and lager) was the rear carry box.  Initially very tatty (a nice tarten) a took it all apart, measured cut, measured again, very carefully put back together only to find didn't fit at all.  Shelved it for a month and then finally got my act together and finished it.  looks great and can't wait to see it on the bike.Used some red and white vinyl again off ebay.

Also got some white vinyl lettering cut for me and have applied (as i couldn't wait any longer).
http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii307/sn1gle/IMAGE_412.jpg
Oh yeah the seat.  Again like the rear box took apart measured etc and padded using an old bit of foam.  Still to repaint the seat springs etc but the seat is now all new.  Amazing that Tescos still have some stock of Bostik glue after the amount i have used.
http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii307/sn1gle/IMAGE_410.jpg
So here it is progress to date.
http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii307/sn1gle/IMAGE_411.jpg
http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii307/sn1gle/IMAGE_413.jpg
Still have the seat and rear box to finish.  Clean and fit the brakes (including rear brake hub), fit the rear carrier and front and back muguards.  Fit the gears (this is going to be a pain!), and fix and fit the dyno lights system.  Also want to add some 'detailing' where i can in either red of white.

Regarding the dynomo i need some more wire.  Anyone know if the twin cable door bell stuff will do the trick?

after last bug push not done much else - have to work outside adn the weather not been great.  have to mess around with a couple of gear cables to get the shimano gears to work with the sturmey hub and still have some brightwork to clean up.

also still not happy with the wheels as not great conditions and a bit boring! thinking about taking spokes out and spraying them white and/or red...we will see.  really would like to add some 16" white mags but they are not that common and would lose the gears.

they ride superb the green one is slightly lighter than the grey one as the grey one is the compact model that folds and has gears which makes it abit heavier than the green. Il have to find the photo of it in FOLD mode!!
