I used to love my stars and stripes grifter but Bombers have a special place in my heart
As I write this I have a bluechrome one and a standard black one





The black one is now stripped down and is gonna be powder coated
Not sure what I'm gonna do with the blue one yet  

One thing's for certain, I need a bigger shed

remember to get plenty of pics up of the black one as it goes through it's resto.

there's a guy selling sticker setds for the black bombers on ebay.

are they both 26" wheel models ?

Just bought 2 sets of decals from him as I have another black beauty on its way !
Both are 26" and pics are plentyful allthough I could do with getting a better camera!

or are you gonna get it powdered ?

stripping it this w/e powder coated next week, should look the nuts, just need to find some tyres, I need 4

only ever heard of nos snake bellies a handfull of thimes and they've gone for some real crazy prices !

not seen stickers for them before though have you ?

I may just run it around for a while but i have discovered that someone on the burner site can re coat it.
Like you say, decals may be hard to find.
Did I read somewhere you have a 5 speed superbomber, I'd love to see that!

i've not got the 5 speed super bomber, there was someone trying to sell a nos one a while ago on the bay, if i remember right it went for a low price in the end.

I had one, didn't like it as much as the 3 speeds tho'. I doubt many were made as not long after Raleigh bought out the Maveric thus ending an era

I seem to remember I had a link for a company selling repro snakebellies (not in 20"s though!). I'll have a look and see if I can find it.

Any luck with that link yet, I really dont fancy fitting "standard" tyres
