Hi Guys,
As someone rightly mentioned, i think we all have a soft spot for the lil' old Boxer. I was given one by a work collegue and recently decided to restore it as i have just finished my Street Wolf as many of you may know. I first took it to bare metal and then re-painted it silver to match my Grifter (known as an SE although we all know there never was a Grifter SE!) I have now decided to try to make it as much of a mini Grifter as possible. I had the Grifter decals modified and re-sized to read Boxer and fitted them to the frame. I've also used a mini- Burner Mk1 chain guard (painted Black) to replicate the one fitted to the Grifter. I then removed the Fork Stop from a spare Grifter frame and re-sized it to fit the Boxer. Not only does this allow me to fit the Flag decal in the correct place it also makes it look more like its big Brother! It's coming along quite well and is about ready to be removed from the roof and have its wheels fitted. I've managed to source some NOS Mk2 mini Burner wheels so i'm going to fit those along with a decent pair of 16" Super Grips i found on a Striker.
I've attached some pictures of my progress so far.

THATS LOOKING REALLY GREAT, CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT FINISHED RETRO.  I'M THINKING OF REPAINTING ONE OF MY US GRIFTERS THE SAME COLOUR AS USED ON THE CHOPPER SPRINT.

Excellent job, just needs an RSW 16 rear wheel with SA 3 speed hub and Grifter grip shift, then modify a spoke protector and you have the Boxer Raleigh should have made!

Oh got a few RSW bits
2 complete bikes    and some other stuff

I used a RSW rear wheel on a long chopper bike I made.  It has an S3B hub.  Tiny drum brake and 3 speed hub.

If I build up my Boxer, I could put Raleigh mags on it.  Or build up 16" alloys onto my 20 spoke 3 speed.

Oh the car doesnt look like a ford.  The inner wings dont have strut tops.  Maybe a Hillman??

If you look closely at the pics the clues may be on the garage wall (Morris Marina???).

Morning Guys,
I'm glad to see that you like my boxer. I thought it would be nice to do a mini Grifter clone seen as how i'd managed to get hold of my Wildcats little brother the Street Wolf. I've got a stars and stripes Grifter to restore too and another spare boxer so you can guess whats gonna happen there!
As for the frame stops, i can't really make any more as it means ruining a Grifter frame to get them off! I didn't mind taking one off as i'm making a custom with that anyway but i'm sure you'll agree, i cant possible ruin to many!
I do want a 3 speed rear wheel so if anyone has one for sale then PM me please. I'd like one that looks as much like the Grifter one as possible!
As for all you C.S.I fans out there i believe we all need to give a round of applause to THE HOARDER as he is correct. It is indeed a Morris Marina. Not that you can tell from the pics but it is a 1.8T.C Coupe model from 1974.
I started a bare metal restoration on it about a year ago and i'm just taking my time with it (the BIkes have taken oven now too!). I do however have a few plans for the car to make it a bit special. Have a look at the pics and see what you think!

Heres a picture of it the day i picked it up...

How it looks now...

And finally, a little something to spice things up a little  ;)

Great marina coupe you have there!! its the most desirable of the marina of the range! and with that 1.8/2.0 vauxhall engine and 5 speed box, it will also be the fastest!! (i would love to see the boy racers faces when this 33yr old classic kicks dust in their faces from the traffic lights!! )
