the frames have now been cut and are looking good (post pics tomorrow) i just have to do more measurments and a lot of thinking

better stretch the rear top tube so the stocker has some space

oh Ive got a couple of old Tandem frames
no ones stupid enough to go biking with me (nearly) in control

hi how much do you recon i should stretch it by?

just been looking at the tandem grifter pics from billing, i see what alec35 means about the lack of room on the rear, the bars don't seem to lean as far forward as a standard set cos of the way they have been fitted.

ah ok i think i havee sorted that one i hope.

Yeah old Tandems like mine tend to have not much room for the stocker
they quite often have the rear stem clamped to the front seat pin...then extending back..so the drivers back doesnt have the stockers head pressed against it.
You could try sitting on a single Grifter then getting some one stand behind..with bars in there hand...then measure how far they are back...maybe 4 inch..dunno

hey I would have the rear er down tubes going straight to both BBs..not at angle

there will be a brace going from the front BB to the rear BB

I will put some pic's on (meant to do it today but i have been putting up a new fence.) you will be able to see what i have done but loving the comments and suggestions

hey, is it possible to wheelie a tandem ?

its hard enought to get a good wheelie on a normal grifter
