Here we have my MK2, which i intend to tinker with. Have some clean BMX spoke wheels to throw on for now to get her rolling.

Have original  brake levers and calipers, might just have a rear brake if I go the custom route. Needs front forks straightening and a good clean up, but thats all!

BMX wheels can be a bit tricky to fit.
As the axles are likely to be thicker.
And the front hub will probably be wider.

the wheels you have on don't look too bad are they? they may clean up pretty well. Alec's right about the thickness of the axles, they will need a good few whacks to stretch the dropouts to get them on, then they are a pain to get off again

The wheels look better in the pic than they actually are. They are quite heavily pitted with rust all over. Guess i should strip down and attenpt a decent clean and grease up before hitting plan B.

i filed a bit off the drop outs on grifter forks to fit "vektar" mags in (with thicker axle) - don't give up mate, you'll get there with a bit of bodging!    as my mate says: "if it can be achieved it can be conceived"
