chain guard on, couple of brackets to weld on the grifter end to make it nice & secure!!

was thinking of a bright blue frame, forks & bars, white chain guard & the original hawk mudguards (white).

going to use the original hawk rear hub (3 speed with coaster) & put it onto a grifter rim, grifter front wheel, no brakes (just the coaster), white grips (seen a set of shimano on ebay with a 3 speed twist grip)& going to try to get a hold of a short banana seat (white) with a sissy bar.

I take it the hub is the shimano 333 version? nice to get one with coaster brake they are superb to use, really smooth with never a neutral knee whacking gear   ive got nos hub shifter arms and bar if you need one and a set of white Shimano 333 NOS twist grip and handle which are gorgeous, let me know if you're interested

ciaoflyer, Hawk Cycles made a bunch of different style bikes from Racers to BMX to Shopper and Chopper style bikes, all made in Western Germany and sold through UK distributors like Woolworths. They (usually) came with a Shimano 333 hub which was much better than any Sturmey offering!! dont know much more and could do with a brochure to see all models

took this seat of an old motor bike style push bike, going to try & do something with it & fit it to the grifterhawk, i will have to slim it up a bit?  , also been sorting the chain guard brackets & just to weld on the bracket for the coaster brake, then ready for paint

this pink thing, similar to the bike you have just got but single speed, the seat & tyres were the only parts worth having, it was a cheap thing, the frame was broken & parts had been welded, suspension was ceased, put it in the skip!!!!!

I was out on my Local Nomad.  A home built long wheelbase chopper.  I saw a blue frame and fork very similar to the pink bike.
I knocked on the little old ladies door.  She was chucking it to the bins.  So I strapped it to the bars of my bike.
Biked home 5 miles.
never did build up the bike.  The forks had been butchered.
Gave the bike to a local kid
