i have still to fit 1 rubber mud gaurd end (just won it on ebay) and 1 rubber brake lever grip, still to aquire (does anyone have one?) im dreading me sore arse tomorrow 28/08/07. hope that retrofire doesn't let me down

This is a great looking Grifter!
Can't wait to see it with some 'custom' tyres on it.

Don't forget to come along to the Brooklands Meet, 5th May 2008.

Hi Retro cool

I've PM'd These images to you regarding the chainguard, but I thought I'd popped them on here as well for anyone else who may be interested.  They show details of how the American style chain guard fits to the frame. I'm sure the chainguard that raleigh used was a cut down version of an existing Raligh one as It just looks a bit crude at the back.

lovin the new pics!! see u have fitted the chain guard u made, and u know what...... it looks good, maybe you should make more and put them on the bay as a cheap alternative to the very rare and expensive real thing? i love the grifter decal on the seat post! sweet! that herbie bike was on a rack the last time i spotted it!! i love that one, wish it was mine!!    anyway keep up the fine work mate!!   p.s the web address on the rear mudguard is a cool idea too, should bring even more people to the site!!
