Stuff the housework , i have got a baby blue to put together , the tyres are on the rims , both of which have brand new innertubes , and the shiney wheels are on the bike , well kinda , i have misplaced the r nuts for both wheels but i have to say i cant really believe that after all this time it really is almost at an end , its like the last ever episode of fools and horses , you know it will come but when it does its all too soon   , she stays in the house from here on in !!  

STOP PRESS , SAM KNEW WHERE THE NUTS WERE , SO THEY ARE NOW FITTED AND SHI IS PROPPING HERSELF UP AS SHE WAS DESIGNED TO DO !!!!

I have taken her for a short spin around the square out front of my house and she needs a little tinkering , but on the whole she is a joy to ride , just need to settle the gears as i only have two at the moment and the front bearings need to be tightened and then she is 99% there    

We don't want to keep hearing about....we want to SEE IT

Now heres a thing, i was having a good look at bb tonight and i felt sure that the brake blocks would not make contact with the rim ....and i was right , i must have put the wrong calipers on at some stage so they will get changed ....ooops  

SHE IS COMPLETE AT LONG LAST

She is not finished but she is complete for the first time since i have had her in two years , and before you all ask no i dont have a photo of her , but she IS going to brooklands to make her debut , i had to borrow certain parts from other ahem donor bikes but she is there so she will be escorting retro red to the show .

Following todays goodie hunt i am going to be adding the following items to baby blue , a much better plastic mud flap for the front mudguard , another rain check brake block , and the correct rear reflector then i am going to add a set of thimbles this will make the bike complete    

For all those interested baby blue is the blue bike in the photos with the blue grips and chrome bars and black jack is the xl in said pictures

I am today going to be changing the bars over , from super bars to a set of NOS bars that i got from rog last year then she will be as she was when she left the line apart from the tyres which are new supergrips, then the super bars will go onto my black super.

she has had the new bars fitted and she also has a nice set of grips (cheers wayne) and i got to use my new tool to get the cable out of the frame , and it worked really well , the cable was out in a few seconds no stress!!!!!    

I just use a bit of bent wire from a clothes peg, that works a treat and cost me nothing!!  

refitted the gear cable today , she is a beautiful bike , she beams
