some pics

frame stripped and primed, front wheel cleaned up, grip shifts and brake cables, would like to say rear wheel my work but no
paul done the rear wheel, sure he said he rebuilt hub, new grease etc , all i have done is cleaned a bit more few scuffs but not bad

awaiting forks to come then will be sprayed and rebuilt, bottom bracket bearing were really bad grease was red ? for some reason

Going to be blue , royal blue ish

i have a black seat in ok condition, blue tyres maybe if i can get them ,

super grifter stuff yeah daisy ( well grips and brake cables anyway but they are nos )

want to restore things my way, appreciate what other guys do ie as it left the factory, but becoming a struggle to get parts in that sort of condition

red one turned out ok his one going to plan so far  

maybe white next ?

update 4th aug  

hi hope you are well

well the forks finally been sorted.. had to cut at bottom of forks..sad but had to  ... was left with part over the handle bars, which was not easy to get off in it self, had to cut zig zag lines and literally peel away the metal,  so new bearings and grease handlebars back on.. bottom bracket cleaned up new grease

so hopefully hard work has now been done, should put wheels bacl on soon .. happy days

put most of bike back together, have the chainset to go back on tighten everything up and source some decals , think i am going to go stars and stripes ,  this was steves old bike and hope he likes the resto not far off finished now but decals would bring it back to life

i have kept a couple of things original like mudguards( notice front mudguard has the traditional hole to reflect motorbike sound, come on we all did it )

all in all not to bad  total finish pics will be up once i have sourced some stars and stripes decals

Youve done a nice job on the frame but the blue grips and cables are not right mate. They would look better in black. If they were the same colour as the frame they would look excellent. Or the mudguards,forks and handlebars the same colour as the grips or the frame.

I hope you dont mind my comments its only my opinion mate.

Its difficult to tell from a photo lets see it all finished.

   

yeah pics have come up lighter, had the flash on, in real life its a much darker blue, will get some pics up in natural daylight
