Heres some pics of my new project.  It's a '78 blue mk1.  Bought this off Swelrose at the Raleigh Rally for £30!  It all seems to be there apart from one front mudguard flap but I have some of these, it even has the original made in holland tyres but they are shot.  Not going to repaint just gonna strip, clean and rebuild.  Enjoy.

Nice looking MK1 you have there and a real bargain too, clean her up and keep her original, like my 78 bronze mk1, i was goin to restore but my girlfriend uses it and thinks the marks and pitting of the chrome "adds character" and i have to agree, thats why mine retains all war wounds and original made in holland supergrip tyres.... love it, i bought mine off ebay after having too many beers purchased for £35 and had to drive from preston lancashire to filey in yorkshire and did think of selling on, but since meeting my now future wife i have no intention of selling and intend on keeping her and my silver MK2 for the rest of my days!!    with luck my future kids will feel the same.....
