Ok, i said before i'm new to grifters and showed a few pics of burners i had restored, well after going to sell my grifter i decided to keep it thing is i havent got a clue about grifters from what i know its a mk1

The wheels were very rusty so ive took them apart and im going to have them shot blasted and then painted in a nice colour,polish the hubs and have them rebuilt.


As for the frame, forks and everything im thinking strip it all and have it painted but would it be a mistake painting the frame one colour,the mudguards another and the rims different or put mag wheels too like a custom or is it better to keep original ?

also the stickers are transfers painted to the frame is there another way to get new ones ? ive only saw stickers on ebay.

I need any advice and information about them because i dont want to ruin it  ;)

lewi your blue one is the mk1, it'll have the original waterslide decals on it, to keep costs down you might as well just get a set of repro stickers (gus on here had some good ones, drop him a pm). as for how to do it, well that's up to you.

As ste said i've got 1 set of MK1 decals left if your require a set.

gli im likin the sherrif idea too, could make it black at the front and back and white in the middle like those american police cars, i can propably get another mk1 grifter for 20 quid if i wanted, but got way to many old bikes now.... cant wait to work on the transam grifter though its gonna be a bad ass !
