Hi

Fianally got around to the resto of my mark 1.  It's a May/June 1976 blue Mk1 Grifter and I was two months old when she rolled out of Nottingham!  She is a bit worse for ware but i'm up for the challege. Heres the B4 pics:

Going to try to match the paint as close as poss using spay cans.  Thanks to Swelrose for the paint to use from her Mk1 resto thread!

Cheers mate.  Stripped it and the forks are knackered (bent) , luckily I have a spare mk1 set!

an early mark one in that condition , some people should be flogged , but thank the gods that it fell into the hands of an enthusiast to restore it back to its former glory .

 I've found Halford's Ford Cosmos Blue and Nissan light blue a good match.

I've seen some in worse condition.

Is it possible to straighten bent forks maybe in vice or best to fit replacements?

Yes, somebody has brush painted it.  Shame because underneath the original paint seems quite good.

Just took the tyres off and they are the early originals, Made in Holland on the side.  Shame they're shagged!
