bit of spraying went on today, handlebars, mudguards and chain guard, couple of coats and a good rub down, hey presto! mint looking items, came out very nice, pics soon.

dont want to but its gonna have to be a respray for the frame    to much damage to paintwork, thought i could spin some magic but its a bridge to far, smile/mad.gif

cant decide what to do about the frame hrz, you reckon i should keep original paint on this one aswell mate?

Bounty, my MK1 is wearing its original paint complete with battle scars and chips but my chrome, tyres, seat, bars etc all look mint so you dont notice the damage to the paint.smile/thumb.gif I have restored bikes with new paint and decals but never felt the same about them afterwards and sold them on   , they lose all originality.

   nice one 1977, yeah your right mate, everything will look mint but i will keep the character of the bike, few scatches and some rusty bits tell a story i surpose, cheers mate, right back to the shed!

It is your choice on the paint but got to say the wheels and supergrips look the dogs tattys!

yeah they have come out real nice midlife,    i tried a bit of t cut on the frame today and its making the colour fade, looks like gold speckles,  think ill just buff it and add new decals, pics soon

pretty sure the bronze frames were done in gold to start with then the colour added over it...supergrip may know more/be able to advise more suitable polish than t cut ?

yep, your right there i think mate, i find t cut a bit to harsh, gonna try auto gleam and a buffer,
