Not to be confused with retro fire

Retro red is the title that i am giving the stars and stripes that i bought from a lady called Marie in Woodley , the bike is in very good condition , with good handlebars , a very nice seat , a complete chain guard and three nice r nuts .

She is a 1980 bike , the chrome is by and large in good condition and will gleam once cleaned and wire wooled , sadly the wheels may be a little past a showroom shine but they should clean up ok for a rider.

She was a shed find from the previous owner of the house and looking at her condition she spent a lot of time in there as the supergrips are in nice nick

Sounds good Steve, look forward to seeing the pics. Did you get the bike from Woodley near Stockport?, if so that's not far from me. Good luck

As i dont have a life , i have been having a poke around her and there is very little rust , the front brake adjusters are clean as a whistle , as are the nuts and bolts even the metal spindles of the pedals are clean even though they are aftermarket pedals at the moment but there are a set of genuine raleigh pedals waiting in the shed ready to be fitted .

She is currently without a set of rain checks so they will be fitted soon .

this bike is so complete and pre loved that it still has the blocks of plastic that came in the brake levers by the barrel of the brake cable

no if you have a look at the brake lever , follow the metal lever as it goes into the pivot area , where the lever splits in two there should be a little plastic blocker to stop the two halves of metal being crimped as the rivet was applied , does this make sense ?
