just a thought and maybe im being too cautious , but what is to stop someone claiming that they are the owners of the bikes that are detailed above , could we not add a date and place of purchase as god forbid if one were genuinley stolen from us then we would have good proof of ownership to reclaim it .

Thats a good point well made. How about this Anyone who wishes to register has to go through me first then I will ad the details but omit certain parts of the frame No like on a credit card receipt. for eg.

Frame number given: NL0123456

Frame number displayed: NL0 XXXXX

So we can still see the date part but not the rest to avoid scammers.

The original register that was on the rgoc did the same thing. They only showed the fist few numbers and letters.

 

With good reason too !! and the Register is still LIVING !! just not visible online as its in hidden sub folders of another of my websites until i bring it out of hibernation, much like the infozone and other aspects of the club website. and BEFORE anyone asks, its due to my rebuilding the site again !!!

Just a thought, but can u not run a "Temporary register" in a locked forum thread with limited access ??
