Grifters only im afraid mate no other bikes allowed.

It wont be next week so that will give you time to get your grifter on the road

aha! the bmth (or nearby) rideout 2!! excellent!!

hate to be the bearer of bad news though, but during july and august no cycling allowed along the prom    you're only allowed on the bit between bmth and boscome piers    reopens to bikes after 6pm each night...

definately up for a meet though!

Why not ride them off road like they were designed for in the first place

Im not sure grifters were designed for off road look how weak the forks are! They were designed for 8-14 year olds as a rugged street bike.

think the sandbanks/poole ride is still allowed by the authorities!  i don't mind taking my grifter off road, even with a fairly sizeable "1 pack" to contend with... no trouble with the forks yet

had my super out for a bit of off-roading the other week, location near ferndown which is near bournemouth - the ride featured some gruelling uphills as well as crazy downhills smile/eek.gif

(apologies for picture quality, off my mobile)

i do indeed wayne!!  the pictured grifter is my "rider" - i allow myself to do skids and everything on this one!

on this particular ride i was descending a steep hill and the handlebars started slipping forward as i hadn't done the bolts up tight enough!  most disoncerting!  smile/eek.gif

its definately worth having a proper rider - so you can treat it just like you used as a lad!  (well maybe a bit more carefully...)
