As this year is passing by so fast , i thought i would get in early and ask if any of our members have any ideas for meetings / cruises for next year .

I think we should have the big 4 , wheels day , billing , brooky and the raleigh rally.
But there is always room for more and i think we NEED to organise a meeting up north to give the northern members a break from travelling , and we can spread our wings to other areas , what do you think .
Anyone can organise a meeting , it is not exclusive to us old sweats . smile/@@@.gif

i have been thinking about us having a meeting all of our own , not gate crashing other parties as it were and wondered if anyone fancied having a meeting at Mytchett in Surrey , at the Basingstoke canal visitor centre ,it is a large camp site that is quiet , it backs onto as the name implies , the Basingstoke canal and if you want we can have a gentle ride along it down to a nice pub that is situated a couple of miles away .

There are shower blocks and a toilet block on site and it is a reasonable amount per night to stay , i thought if there was enough interest i would add this venue to the 2009 calendar , also we could add this to the wheels day meeting and kill two birds with one stone as it were .
what do you think ?

Hi Steve,

I like the sound of that Buddy. The Basingstoke canal was a nice site and would be ideal for us. We could also go for a ride around in the woods behind the site as well as along the river. Everyone using Grifters in the woods though would certainly need that 3 Speed Hub working!!!!

Just wondering how people would feel about having a weekend of our own at Mytchett in Surrey the weekend of the Brooklands meeting , so we meet down Mytchett on the saturday , spend the weekend dossing , riding , drinking beer , cooking food , and then go off to the Brooklands meeting on the monday which will be a bank holiday , how does that sound ?
