Hi Grifter enthusiasts. I discovered this website whilst trying to find out more information on my new project, a 1978 Grifter. can anyone help me, i have no idea what colour it should be, because it is yellow at the moment? Mr_teeney.

Hi Mr Teeney, Welcome to the forum. Have you got any pictures of your Grifter that you can post up. If it's a Mk1 it will be either metallic blue or metallic red.

Cheers

Welcome to the No1 grifter site! you have come to the right place for info on your bike! if it is indeed a 78 it will be either a metallic blue or metallic red (mine is a 78 2nd pic below) the lads will tell you the exact colour name... if you rub some of that yellow off, all will be revealed!! or take the seat out and look inside the downtube or edges... hope to see some pics soon, are you going to restore to original spec or kustom job? either way, good luck with it!!

Hi, You need to copy the whole of the 4th bit of code called the 'img code' and paste it in to your message.

and it will pop up like this.

welcome to the site mate. They look like mk1 bars and forks with rounded rear dropouts so it could well be a 78. It looks like you have your work cut out with this one! (at least the plastic chain cover is complete!!)

hello mate

before and after pics will look great on this one mate, i restored a silver one which was in a bit of a sorry state

check out your cotter pins and try to get the handlebars free before anything else, that is really the only parts that can stretch your patience

good luck
