Hi all. I've recently re-discovered the magic of the grifter and after a long search (well,a few months looking on e-bay)have, at last, aquired this beauty. I dont know if i'm the same as a lot of you but it had to be a mk2 in silver because that is what i had as a kid. I picked her up a little while ago and since then have lavished the attention on her she deserves. All i want to do now is take her out for a spin so if there is anyone in the Northampton/Rugby area who fancies getting out let me know.

Welcome to the forum That's a classy looking Silver MK2. Well done on bringing it back to that condition. There seems to be a lot  of nice silver mk2's popping up at the moment which is good for the Grifter movement.

hello n welcome thats a fantastic mk2 (enter it for grifter of the month) hope you enjoy going out on it beware they are very addictive you'll probably find yourself thinking this is to good to ride ill get a tatty one to ride then mint that one up oh i now want a tatty one to ride etc etc

Cheers guys. You're all right about it being addictive. I've been getting a great deal of satisfation out of rubbing stuff down in the garage and smelling of WD 40 To be fair i've not done a huge amount to it just a lot of cleaning,respraying the mudgaurds and bars and a new set of decals. Ideally i'd like to re-paint the frame but i've read a lot here about colour matching and i'd want it to be exact so maybe just leave it as it is for the time being as the frame is pretty good.

That's probably one the best MK2 in silver i have ever seen. What a beauty! I would leave the paint original mate. Keep up the good work!. I must warn you though....One Grifter leads to another and then another and another and before you know it your a one man bike show!!! Ask carling! or any other member on here! They will say the same.
