Hi mates! Nice to discover this site on Grifters! I'm now a proud owner of one, a 1978 model. Just completed my minor restoration. Did some changes to it eg. chainring and seat.

Welcome to our great site mate. Nice mk1 you have there. If you need help getting parts just ask, it would be nice to see her restored to her former glory.

Finally took her out for a spin for the 1st time since restoration....

Youve got to change that seat mate its just not right for the mighty grifter!!! (and those grips!) Check the bay or the forum theres always parts for sale.

hi mates! Grifter is pretty rare in this parts and getting the original seat is even harder! :P
Will be using the original grips once I get the shifter cable sorted out..cheers and more pics to follow from the sunny nation, call Singapore!

loving the pictures mate. Dont take this the wrong way but i think you should get the correct parts for the bike. Theres far too many parts that are wrong. We are here to help so if you do ever think of doing a full resto we can help with part sourcing,tecno help ect...

I notice you dont have a full decal set on your bike. I still have some full mk1 sets left and i can help you with the correct positioning of them.

Like i said mate dont take it the wrong way its just that i see a lovley mk1 crying out to be restored to its former glory.

I'd luv to tweek it one part at a time. A full restoration too soon would signal the end of my interest in the bike...keke...I luv to hunt for parts. Bay I did but since the freight charges from UK to SG is rather high for bulk items, I've decided to make do with what I can get my hands on...
