Hi Guys, Just picked up silver mk2, just like the one i had as a lad.im a new member in Edinburgh, any other owners in the big smoke?

Welcome to the original and best grifter forum!!    thats a very nice silver mk2 you have there!! its just like mine!! i,  like you had this model also when i was a lad, had mine for just over 2 1/2 years now, and will never sell it!! here's mine before and after!! (so yours is in a lot better condition than what mine was!!) i rode it in the before condition believe it or not!! just a drop of 3 in 1 oil in a few spots!! and it ran fantastic with all three gears working too!! anyway, good luck with it and keep us all posted with your progress and your outings with plenty of pics!!

   happy days!!! just make sure those gears dont slip!! you will have a very sore knee cap!!! ..... some memories aren't so happy!!

in all honesty, how much time did ya spend in the saddle back then? I rekon most of my time was spent standing up trying to go faster!

I'm always reminded of the time the chain came off of my Burner and i cracked my head on the road. Thats why i rarely stand up on the bike.

i broke my leg standing up gear missed a beat and my foot hit the road full power snapped tib n fib 9 months in plaster i now stay on the seat
