Hi Folks,
I'm new to this forum, but not new to Grifters since Mum and Dad bought a blue mk2 for me in 1983. I'm now renovating one I've just bought on Ebay, and wonder if anyone knows where I can get the blue decals from.
Thanks for any help!
Ainsley

Hi ainsley, welcome to the forum mate, hope you enjoy.... we will all try to help you with any questions regarding your great classic bike!! The mk2 you have has the most hardest (and expensive when they do come up) decals to get hold of (ask the hoarder he will vouch for this) one of the lads on here did a excellent version of them tho for his blue mk2 as he was so fed up of trying to track original style prizmatic decals down..... maybe he could do some for you?? anyway, good luck with the resto bud, keep us posted with pics, we all love pics....

Hi Lads,

Thanks for the welcome. The Grifter's really in need of stripping down and cleaning first and foremost, but most of the parts are intact. My seat will be off to Bomberman soon I expect, as it's not the original and I think is for a Grifter XL? The black plastic part around the pedals is a little broken, but apart from that it's the decals!!! They're awful!
Still, I'll be riding it about in no time and there will more than a slight felling of '82/'83 in the air. images/icones/icon10.gif

BTW, a while ago I picked up a Mk1 Grifter in tatty but useable nick. It's free to a good home if anyone would care to collect it, as my heart's really in getting the Mk2 right!! [img]
