maybe have a good idea maybe a terrible idea but it is an idea

so i have restored 2 grifters, but the chrome is the problem

you  can get the wire wool and wd40 and make an ok job if not to far gone ( what is to far gone ?)

some of you may know i am into restoring 70;s hondas namely the cb550 which have plenty of chrome... now i have came across a good powdercoater and also he does whats called look a like rechroming

tell me what you think guys in respect to the grifter, he did say it has to be decent chrome to start with ( honda used quality chrome in the 70's)

before and after on set of mudguards from my honda bike but imagine  the grifter

They look nice like polished steel. I like my rims nice and shiney even if they have got some pitting.

P.s you should come to kempton autojumble mike. Its got over 300 stalls full of used bike parts and bikes for sale. I work on the gate.
