Hi Grifter fans

Just to let you know I have put a temporary page up on the site with a link to the forum    

www.raleighgrifter.co.uk is where to go

I may not work for some people yet as I have only just got the Grifter site part running on my server which means that your internet provider may not have updated their servers yet so you can see it.

Does that make sence

The actual website will hopefully be done by the end of the month time permitting.

I have also meta tagged it so it should appear on Google etc in the coming weeks. (you can't tell how long Google etc take)

It is also linked to some nostalgia sites such as Do you remember etc. I will be contacting Raleigh as well soon but not until the site is done.

I have a few more updates planned but nothing major like this one, adding a few more sections as it grows, and general maintinence that sort of thing.

The only major thing would be if the aceboard itself has any problems and becomes unstable, meaning we have problems logging on and too much downtime. I have seen other forums go tits upand go off line for good just because the third party servers keep on going offline.

So with this in mind I have my own PHPBB forum on my own server ready for action if this happens but so far we have only had one period of downtime which we warned about so thats good.

do you think we should pre-prepare by creating a back-up site??

My advice on websites, is MAKE BACK UP COPIES AND STORE THEM SAFELY !!! i learnt the hardway.

BTW  wood5tock , Fancy twinning with the "Official RGOC" site ? maybve that way between the sites (the rgoc will be up very very soon all being well) we can liven the scene up a bit and help each other out with various things. maybe ?? maybe not ?? your call

if it happens it would get some more members, im sure, grifter guru, will you be going to brooklands?

Just what I was thinkin     RGcouk is looking good for end of Jan and have got a link to RGOC too    

If you still experience any server/hosting issues, I have upgraded my own server with more memory and cheaky stuff so If you need it I have some hosting goodness

DOH!!!!! that wasn't spose to happen yet but I activated the index page by mistake revealing all. Oh well bang goes the big opening I had planed. DOH DOH DOH!!!

I HAVE TAKEN RG.CO.UK OFF LINE AS THER ARE STILL MANY THINGS NOT SET UP ON IT SUCH AS EMAIL FORMS ETC. IT ALSO NEEDS FULLY PROOF READING TO. SO SORRY GUYS YOU'LL JUST HAVE TO WAIT ABIT LONGER
